Galaxy S20 5G

If you are thinking the Galaxy S20 to be expensive with a price of $999, you may want to look at the Galaxy S20 Plus and S20 Ultra, both of which cost $1,199 and $1,399, respectively. Unfortunately, there is no cheaper Galaxy S20E available this year. So, if you want to get a cheaper high-end Samsung Galaxy phone, you may want to get a Galaxy S10 or Note 10 Plus.

The pricing of the Galaxy S20 makes it acceptable for a quite narrowed-down fan base. Many users also complain that the way this phone houses specs and features is not that impressive as it was in the case of the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus. It could be a turn-off for many potential buyers.

The Galaxy S20, undoubtedly, comes with some impressive features. For instance, a 6.2-inch edge-to-edge display makes it more pocketable and easy to use with one hand. The camera results are amazing. Some people might experience issues with the autofocus, though. Processing speed is incredible, thanks for the latest and fastest processor chip working on the core. The battery stores enough juice to keep the phone powered on for an extended duration. Wired charging is ultra-fast. Reverse wireless charging is available. And a 120Hz refresh rate makes the display more impressive.

For some, this phone may be too small, which is its main benefit for most users. There is no 512GB internal storage option available. The supported 5G bands are not quite fast, as per the 5G standards. Some countries even sell S20 4G-only models at cheaper rates.

The camera on this phone is truly impressive. The ability to shoot 8K videos and high-resolution snaps makes this phone one of the top choices.

Galaxy S20 vs. S20 Plus

Let’s first discuss the size difference between both phones. With a screen size of 6.7 inches, the S20 Plus is undoubtedly superior compared to the S20, which offers a screen size of 6.2 inches. If you are interested in watching video content and other graphics, you will undoubtedly find S20 Plus the more preferred option. It also makes the S20 Plus a heavier phone.

The Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus come with a 4,000 mAh and 4,500 mAh battery, respectively. Both these batteries store enough power juice to support routine use for longer durations. Nevertheless, using a 120Hz screen refresh rate instead of 60Hz will reduce the battery life significantly.

The presence of a time-of-flight sensor in the S20 Plus enables it to take clearer low-light shots. There is not much difference between the low-light shots from both phones.

The Galaxy S20 comes with 5G compatibility, but the type it supports is known as Sub-6, which may result in slower peak speeds for the 5G standards. It will undoubtedly be faster than 4G. Verizon is an exception in this regard. If you want to connect to the fastest 5G network outside Verizon, you may want to select S20 Plus instead. The speed will also depend on the network quality in your area.

Talking about the camera quality, the S20’s camera is as good as the one in S20 Plus. Both have a 64MP main lens, which captures more details in a single shot. You can crop in to view details of a single object instead of using digital zoom.

All in all, both these handsets are impressive. You may want to see the following chart to know the difference between the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra.
